A Conversation with Dr. Lubiani:

Why do you like teaching?

Most students come into Economics with a misunderstanding of what it is and how it can help them.  I really enjoy introducing students to how powerful the subject is and how it can help them in their lives and careers.  Seeing students succeed in class and beyond is truly the best part of my job.

What is a current project in which you are involved?

The growth of artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the world in all aspects, which can be both exciting and intimidating.  Recognizing its importance for both faculty and students, I dedicated myself to learning as much as I could about the strengths and weaknesses of current AI platforms.  I have now redesigned aspects of my courses to train students how to responsibly leverage these technologies, ensuring they are prepared for the world of tomorrow.
