There’s never a dull day in our office as we support so many areas and get to help so many people.

Lion Card Office (Auxiliary Services)
The Lion Card is an essential tool for everyday life at A&M-Commerce, and Harlan enjoys helping students access all the functionality that the card offers. When he's not helping students directly, he's working behind the scenes to help make students' campus experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. As a Lion alum—class of 2006—Harlan is proud to serve his alma mater.
How Can I Help You?
The primary area in which we assist students is obtaining their Lion Card and all the functionality the card offers. A student's Lion Card gives them access to dorms and classrooms, and allows them to make purchases with Lion Cash on campus and at select off-campus locations, like CVS and Domino's. Lion Cards also hold a student's meal plan and flex balances for on-campus dining. Outside of our Lion Card services, we are more of a behind-the-scenes group, working to make our students' experiences on campus as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
A Conversation with Harlan
What do you like most about your career?
I enjoy the variety of areas my position supports. The Auxiliary Services department is responsible for running the Lion Card Office, university ring sales, vending, electronic door access management and register support, to name just a few of the cookie jars we have our hands in. There's never a dull day in our office as we support so many areas and get to help so many people.
Tell us about yourself.
I grew up in Kingston, a small town north of Greenville, Texas. I currently live in Emory, Texas. I've been married to my beautiful wife, Hailey, for 15 years, and we have three wonderful children. My wife is actually the associate director of Financial Aid and Scholarships on campus. I graduated from A&M Commerce back in December of 2006. I enjoy the hobby of brewing craft beer and making honey mead and wine. I hope to open a brew shop/brewery in Emory someday.
