Tell us about your connections to East Texas A&M.
I applied for the position in Student Disability Services at East Texas A&M and was fortunate enough to be offered employment. I am a single mother who has raised three sons. My oldest and middle sons both received degrees from East Texas A&M. My oldest received his master's here, and my middle received his bachelor's. My youngest is in the U.S. Air Force. I had to wait until late in my life to pursue my dream of receiving my bachelor's degree, but in 2017, I accomplished that goal when I graduated from East Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences. I am grateful for the opportunities that East Texas A&M offers students, and I feel honored to be employed here!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
My personal life is fairly simple. I enjoy the simple things, like living in the country and being close to my family. My hobbies include playing piano, singing and almost any activity pertaining to “country,” such as four-wheeling, fishing and camping. I am thankful every day that God allows me to live in a country where I have the freedom to enjoy these simple pleasures!
