A Conversation with Nathan
How do you help students in their current role?
I assist students with understanding their financial aid. I also can provide assistance with scholarship opportunities and resources, adjust a student’s funding, and apply external and internal scholarships to students and staff.
What do you love most about your job?
I love interacting with students, and that I can help them in completing their degree plan!
How did you end up in the Office of Financial Aid, and what earlier positions or jobs prepared you for your current role?
Before graduating, I worked as a student worker in the Residential Living and Learning Department. I believe working there helped me gain hands-on experience and enabled me to build great connections in that department that later helped me transition into the role I have now.
What is an important life lesson you’ve learned?
