A Conversation with Tina
Can you share your experience with gamebird research?
During my time as a volunteer and technician in the Quail Research Laboratory, I have gained invaluable experience in the field and lab. I have learned how to set up trail cameras and data loggers and conduct quail call counts. I also gained valuable experience in the upper lethal temperature study on quail eggs.
Which professor or person on campus has positively influenced you?
Working with Dr. Reyna and Dr. Whitt has had a significantly positive impact on my time at A&M-Commerce. Since joining the quail team, I have noticed considerable growth in my confidence and public speaking skills. Whether conducting research or participating in tours, I always received encouraging feedback that bolstered my self-assurance.
Outside of academics, what are your passions and hobbies?
My favorite hobbies include camping, hiking and spending time with family and friends. Wildlife photography is my current passion. I enjoy capturing moments with plants and creatures of all kinds.
