Viviana Hall has a stellar reputation in the field of bilingual education. She has gained recognition and a proven record of high achievement working with bilingual teacher training programs as a faculty member and academic director in higher education, including roles at Southern Methodist University, Texas Tech University and Texas A&M University-Commerce. Hall has contributed to national and international organizations through her innovative initiatives to end teacher shortages in bilingual education.
How do you help students?
In my role, I support and empower aspiring bilingual education teachers throughout their academic journey to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and opportunities to thrive in the field of education.
I am proud of our university’s record for producing highly accomplished educators who can seamlessly transition to the workforce. Our programs help graduates prepare for the demands of the teaching profession and excel in their roles, positively contributing to the communities they serve. I’m eager to welcome each new teacher cohort and I’m particularly excited about expanding our education programs at our newest location in Dallas, where we are training emerging bilingual teachers to meet the varied needs of local communities.
