I had been debating about pursuing a graduate degree for over a decade. I couldn’t decide on what focus would be the most beneficial and the timing never seemed to work out either way. I finally hit a time in my career where I knew that I was going to have to further my education if I wanted to proceed any further up the management chain. My supervisor was extremely supportive of me continuing to grow, but was of a mindset that I should pursue an MBA, which is what he has. I looked into a number of MBA programs and the curriculum just didn’t get me excited. As I broadened my search I stumbled on the Masters in Technology Management at East Texas A&M and I instantly wanted to know everything I could about the program. The curriculum struck me right away as courses that I knew were applicable to my IT career as well as topics I was genuinely interested in. Having graduated from the program I can honestly say it was one of the best training investments of my career. I am incredibly grateful for the faculty I learned from and the classmates I interacted with.
