Our program offers training in essential skills for developing innovative nutrition-based solutions that support health and well-being in Texas and across the United States.

Nutrition and Metabolism

Explore the science behind how the body utilizes nutrients, focusing on the intricate processes of digestion, absorption and metabolism.

Community Nutrition

Learn how to develop and implement effective nutrition programs that address public health concerns and promote healthier eating habits within specific populations.

Nutrition Education and Counseling

Develop skills in counseling individuals and groups, providing guidance on healthy eating choices and empowering them to make positive dietary changes.

Nutrition Therapy

Learn how to assess nutritional needs, develop tailored meal plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to support individuals in achieving their health goals.

Hybrid Online

Our 30-credit hour master’s in nutrition program is offered online, allowing you to manage your studies alongside life's other commitments. You can complete this program from the comfort of your own home!

Curriculum

Our 30-credit-hour program is designed to prepare you for leadership roles in the field of nutrition and dietetics. Our curriculum focuses on developing knowledge and skills in public health, nutrition policy and sports nutrition. Additionally, you’ll be able to explore your own independent studies and other special topics. This curriculum is informed by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). You can pursue a career that supports our health infrastructure, making a meaningful impact on your community's well-being.

Contact your previous institution(s) and request that they send your official transcripts to your graduate coordinator.

  • We recommend that you request transcripts for all of your academic work.

All international transcripts must be evaluated and the evaluation submitted to the Graduate School.

We accepts evaluations sent directly from the following Agencies.

  • If a normal evaluation is submitted, official original transcripts with all marksheets will still need to be submitted.
  • If a WES ICAP or equivalent is submitted, we will not need the official transcripts to be submitted separately.

 International Graduate Admissions Step 2 Official Transcripts

You will be required to submit a transcript evaluation if you have transcripts such as the following:

  • Transcripts/Degrees from universities in Nigeria
  • Transcripts/Degrees from universities in China that do not come from CSSD (formerly CHESICC)
  • Any country where the official transcript is not written in English

You may be required to submit a transcript evaluation once the Graduate School receives and evaluates your transcripts if deemed necessary. It is at the discretion of the Graduate School to require an evaluation. We accept evaluations from the following agencies.

You do not need to submit test scores if you have completed (all years) of a bachelor's or higher degree from a regionally accredited university in the United States.

Request that your scores from one of the following be sent to East Texas A&M University:

  • TOEFL (Minimum Scores: IBT 79, or CBT 213, or PBT 550)
  • IELTS (Minimum Score: 6.00 band overall)
  • PTE (Minimum Score: 53 overall or higher)
  • Duo Lingo (Minimum Score: 105)

*Scores must be less than two years old.
