Be a Leader in Technology Management

Offered through the technology management program at East Texas A&M, the Technology Leadership graduate certificate affirms your completion of a 12-semester-credit-hour program of graduate-level courses focused on leadership within the broader field of technology management. This certificate is open to graduate students in any major or exclusive of a major declaration. Courses for the certificate are offered fully online and can be completed in as few as two semesters.

Program Requirements

To be eligible for the Technology Leadership graduate certificate program, you must be admitted to the Graduate School. Coursework must be completed at East Texas A&M with a minimum 3.0 GPA in all courses used for this certificate. No substitutions.

You must submit a Completion of Certificate Request while taking your final graduate certificate courses.

Submit Application

  • Create an account or login if you already have one
  • Complete your profile section first once you log into your account
  • Select “School Search” and select East Texas A&M
  • Choose the semester you wish to begin

  • Select “Technology Leadership, Graduate Certificate” as your “Program.”

Domestic Application Fee 395064

  • Pay the $50 application fee.

Wait to receive an application confirmation email before proceeding to the next step.

  • After you submit your application, the Graduate School will send a confirmation email within two business days to the personal email account you used for ApplyTexas.

Provisional Status

After you submit your application, you may be granted provisional status, which means you can enroll in one semester of courses. You will not be eligible for financial aid until you submit all of your documents and are accepted into the program.

Contact your previous institution(s) and request that they send your official transcripts to your graduate coordinator.

  • We recommend that you request transcripts for all of your academic work.
  • If your transcripts are already on file with the Graduate School or if your degree was awarded by East Texas A&M University, you do not need to submit new transcripts.

If your institution is unable to submit a digital copy, hard copies may be mailed to:

We will need official/original documents. If those documents are the only copies you have, the Graduate School can mail them back to you upon request. Contact your graduate coordinator or more information.

Look for application updates in myLeo > Apps > Check Application Status

  • Once an admission decision has been made, you will receive an email to your student email account at myLeo > Apps > Leomail.

  • Apply for scholarships and graduate assistantships once you are admitted.
  • Apply for financial aid by submitting a FAFSA and sending it to school code 003565.
  • Contact your financial aid advisor with any questions.

Once registration opens and you are eligible to enroll, your graduate enrollment specialist is here to help you complete registration.

If you are admitted to the Graduate Certificate program, but not concurrently admitted into the M.S. in Technology Management degree program, you will need to contact the program coordinator, Jason Lee Davis, at [email protected] or your graduate enrollment specialist, Lora Gibson, at [email protected] for permits to enroll in the required courses. The certificate courses that are also core courses in the TMGT master's program have TMGT 595 as a pre-/co-requisite course requirement and a permit must be manually entered for you for each course to override this requirement and enable your registration. If you are already accepted into the M.S. in Technology Management degree program and have already registered for or taken TMGT 595, you do not need to request specific permits to register for these courses.

Contact your program coordinator for any questions regarding your certificate plan, or contact your graduate enrollment specialist if you have any questions regarding registration.
