Trumpet Studio
Performance, Passion, Pride
We're fortunate to have a talented and dynamic trumpet studio at East Texas A&M. So whether you hope to become a performer, a music educator, or simply an “educated amateur,” the East Texas A&M trumpet studio is the place to start!
Trumpet lessons are structured to help you acquire the tools and knowledge needed to cultivate a successful career in music. Lessons assignments are tailored to meet the needs of the individual student but generally include solo repertoire, etudes, technical studies, orchestral excerpts and literature, jazz studies, sight reading skills, and pedagogy–a “well-balanced diet” of musical skills. All students are afforded solo performance opportunities that encourage the development of advanced musical skills, stage presence, and the self-confidence performers and educators need to succeed in their respective fields. Additionally, all trumpet students are able to gain valuable performing experience through participation in our Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensembles, Pride Marching Band and various chamber ensembles.

International Trumpet Guild
The East Texas A&M ITG Affiliate Chapter was established May of 2018 and is a registered campus student organization. Comprised of trumpet studio members and any “trumpet enthusiasts” in the East Texas A&M family, the chapter promotes and supports studio activities such as hosting clinicians, attending – and often performing at – ITG Conferences, regional conferences, and TMEA, and other trumpet-related outreach activities.
