Title III Program
Teaming Up for First-Year-Student Achievement
Working together, we provide first-year students with all the resources they need to succeed.
Wrap-Around Services
East Texas A&M received a federal grant called Title III Part A–Strengthening Institutions program, which aims to help colleges and universities increase their capacity to serve low-income students. With the funds, East Texas A&M is implementing three support services—known as the Lions Success Teams—that work together to help first-time, full-time students succeed in college.
The Lions Success Teams include the Office of Student Preparedness, Blue and Gold Money Management Center, and Undergraduate Academic Advising. These three services provide a wrap-around model of student care designed to envelop students in supportive resources to help them acquire the necessary tools for academic success.
Strengthening our institution
Our Title III project is primarily defined by two goals:
Goal 1
Increase educational success for first-time, full-time students by increasing access to advising and career preparedness services.
Goal 2
Increase educational success for first-time, full-time students by increasing access to quality financial advice and support.
working together
The Lions Success Teams consist of these three support services working collaboratively across campus to ensure student achievement:
